( News.com.au ) A WOMAN has died after falling overboard from a cruise liner just before it docked at the port of Southampton, British police said today.
The 67-year-old woman was reported missing from the Oceana liner by her husband early on Sunday morning.
Her body was recovered soon afterwards by a Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
"The body of a female has been recovered and she is dead. That person has not yet been formally identified and inquiries are ongoing."
The Oceana was returning to Southampton following a two-day cruise to Zeebrugge in Belgium, a P& O Cruises spokeswoman said.
