( dpa ) - NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer was expected for a one-day official visit in Bucharest Friday to meet government representatives in preparation of a NATO summit taking place in the Romanian capital from April 2 to 4.
The focus of the talks would be on organizational issues, the Romanian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
The NATO head is scheduled to meet Romanian President Traian Basescu, Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu and Defence Minister Teodor Melescanu.
Scheffer is also planning to give a talk to students at Bucharest University Library.
