Matt Damon and wife expecting baby

( dpa ) - Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, are expecting another baby, People magazine reported Monday.

"They couldn't be happier," Damon's representative Jennifer Allen told People. "They're so excited!"

Damon, who holds People's Sexiest Man Alive honour, is currently shooting the CIA thriller Green Zone in Morocco.

This is the third child for the family: Daughter Isabella was born in June 2006, and Luciana has a 9-year-old daughter, Alexia, from a previous marriage.

Apatow taps Sandler, Rogen and Mann for next movie

Judd Apatow, the director of The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, has tapped Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann to star in his next comedy.

The untitled film is also being written by Apatow, who is keeping the plot under wraps. Production is due to start in the late summer or early fall.

Apatow and Sandler collaborated with Robert Smigel to write Don't Mess With the Zohan, which stars Sandler as a bungling Israeli secret agent. Columbia will release the film on June 6. Rogen and Mann starred together in The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up.

No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency to be TV series

The hit African-based books The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series is to be made into a 13-part TV series in a partnership between the BBC, HBO and the Weinstein Company, Variety reported Monday.

Oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella has already completed the filming of a two-hour pilot in Botswana from a script he wrote with Richard Curtis (Four Weddings and a Funeral), the report said.

Minghella said his experience shooting the pilot in Botswana was an "amazing adventure," and praised the people and the landscape.

"It was a privilege to be working on a film which celebrates what we can learn from Africa, and not what we think we can teach it," he said.

The series will star Jill Scott as Precious Ramotswe, the proprietor of the only female-owned detective agency in Botswana. Anika Noni Rose plays her quirky secretary, Mma Makutsi, and Lucian Msamati stars as Ramotswe's devoted suitor, JLB Matekoni. Also in the pilot are David Oyelowo, Idris Elba, Colin Salmon and John Kani.

HBO co-president Richard Plepler called the book series "highly entertaining."

"Alexander McCall Smith's wonderful books have been a sensation around the world for years," he said. "And needless to say, the opportunity to work with the exceptionally gifted Anthony Minghella and Richard Curtis makes this project all the more exciting."

Presley sues over weight gain story

So much for the theory that Lisa Marie Presley was gaining weight like her father. It turns out that the daughter of the rock 'n' roll king is indeed gaining weight, but because she's pregnant.

Presley, 40, announced her pregnancy over the weekend and lashed back at the media on her MySpace celebrity blog.

"I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant," she wrote. She also revealed that her lawyers are suing British newspaper the Daily Mail after it published an article suggesting that the singer had developed an "unhealthy appetite" and "has gained weight like her father Elvis."

Timberlake to produce Peruvian comedy in US

Singer Justin Timberlake is to produce a US version of the hit Peruvian comedy My Problem with Women, production company Reveille Studios said.

The show is about a bachelor who attempts to understand his romantic failures through therapy sessions. Though there was no word on whether Timberlake would also star in the comedy it seems a natural progression for the singer who is expanding his acting repertoire.

Timberlake, 27, began his singing career in boy band N'Sync and released his first solo album in 2002. He has also appeared in several films, including Alpha Dog. More recently Timberlake starred alongside Samuel L Jackson and Christina Ricci in Black Snake Moan. And he voiced a character in last year's animated blockbuster Shrek the Third.

The singer and songwriter purchased the Sunset Strip home with pal and socialite Stacey Bendet, the designer-owner of the women's clothing boutique Alice & Olivia, who plans to use the house as a style salon for celebrities - a place to show her new lines, have fittings and host parties.

Trump daughter gets wax model beauty treatment

Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, is taking vanity to a new level - by making sure her wax figure at Madame Tussaud's is properly manicured.

The beautiful young mogul regularly sends an assistant to the New York wax museum to touch up the nail polish on the wax likeness of her, according to US reports.

"She sends someone to change the Ivanka wax figure's nail color every week or so," laughed an insider. A spokeswoman for Madame Tussaud's said she was aware that Trump had sent over some polish. "But I don't know that she sends her assistant, or that it's every week," she added.

Christensen and Hartnett split

Supermodel Helena Christensen has split from her actor boyfriend Josh Hartnett, according to US reports on Monday.

Helena, 39, and Josh, 29, had been dating for a year and were even seen furniture shopping together last month.

But sources told the New York Daily News that the couple split "within the last week," failing to say what tore them apart.

Danish beauty Christensen and 30 Days of Night star Hartnett had been friends for years before becoming romantic in spring 2007, when Christensen tried to set-up Hartnett with Rosario Dawson only to be told he would much rather date her.
