( dpa ) - A 26-year-old man set himself alight Thursday evening at a protest in Berlin against China's policies in Tibet, but he was only slightly injured, police reported.
The man poured a flammable liquid over himself and set it alight during the vigil near the Chinese embassy attended by some 100 people.
Bystanders were able to put out his burning clothes.
Three protestors had tried earlier to hand over a petition to the Chinese ambassador, without success.
Police arrested the man for violating the law on assembly. Bringing flammable liquids to a protest was illegal, the police said.
