The current Peugeot 407 was introduced at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show and is scheduled for a minor facelift for the 2008 model year. Startign this summer the 407 Saloon and SW (Station Wagon) will feature (very) minor alterations to the pre-facelifted model. ( WCF )

The refreshed 407 Saloon and SW will have some more chrome details, like the vertical bars in the grille, and other 'subtle visual improvements' like the taillights. Inside Peugeot will offer more comfort for the occupants with on-board temperature control, new telematics systems and parking assist.

Most interesting changes happen under the hood though with an upgraded 2.0-litre HDi engine which now produces 103 kW / 140 bhp (3 kW improvement), requires 5.6 liters of diesel per 100 km, emits 150 g/km of CO2 and meets Euro 5 emissions standards.

Peugeot also added a new engine to its range, the 2.0-litre Bioflex engine which runs on Ethanol fuel will be available where governments apply biofuel tax incentives.
