An Israeli airstrike on a car driving through the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis killed four Palestinian militants and wounded two others Tuesday afternoon, paramedics and witnesses said.

The witnesses said the four were members of the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the radical Islamic Jihad faction, reported dpa.

They said the car suffered a direct hit by one Israeli missile as it was driving through a Khan Younis street.

An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed the military carried out an airstrike.
