A police spokeswoman says a passenger airplane overshot a runway while landing in Nigeria and crashed nearby, the AP reported.
Rita Inoma-Abbey, a state police spokeswoman, said the Boeing 737 overshot the landing strip. She would not comment on casualties.
But an airport official who requested anonymity because he is not allowed to speak to the press said no one was hurt and that there was no structural damage to the aircraft.
