"The Afghan Army plan to provide security in the capital and some other regions until the end of August and the whole country soon," General Muhammad Zahir Azimi, the representative of the Defence Ministry, told Trend via a telephone from Kabul.
The British newspaper The Economics released information about strengthening of the Afghan National Army. Recently, Afghan Army held serious operations.
Army assumed the control over Kabul and NATO will hand these commitments to the army within August.
According to Azimi, the main problem of the army is weakness of air forces. "Now, we should carry out work to strengthen the air forces and to use heavy armament.
According to the information by the Defence Ministry, some $9.5bln was proposed to allocate to create the national army in 2007.
According to Azimi, at present, 75,000 soldiers serve their military service in the army in Afghanistan. The number of trained militaries is planning to reach to 86,000 until the end of this year.
The Afghan Government takes steps to remove poverty, as well as financial shortcomings and struggle against drug trafficking.
Azimi said that the intelligence department of Pakistan supports the terrorist forces and wants to break security in Afghanistan. Afghan President Hamid Kerzai and the President of the United States made official warnings to Pakistani officials.
