(dpa) - Zou Kai took Olympic gold in the men's floor exercise Sunday, following up on his earlier success in winning the men's team event with China.

Zou celebrated a clear win thanks to a score of 16.050 points for his routine with Gervasio Deferr of Spain taking silver with a score of 15.775.

Russia's Anton Golotsutskov claimed bronze after scoring 15.725 while Romania's Marian Dragulescu, Olympic silver medallist in 2004, paid the price for an error in his routine as he finished down in seventh place.
