Singer, actress and recent mother of twins
Jennifer Lopez completed her first triathlon over the weekend in 2 hours, 23
minutes and 28 seconds.
Lopez, 39, competed in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sunday just seven
months after giving birth to twins Max and Emme, raising 127,000 dollars for
the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
"This is an amazing day," she told reporters. "I feel really
great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water but, more
amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised 127,000 dollars for the
Children's Hospital."
Lopez was cheered on from the sidelines by husband Marc Anthony, who escorted
her to a VIP area with his arm securely around her after she crossed the finish
line, exhausted, but with her fists pumped in victory.
Other stars who competed were Matthew McConaughey, Felicity
Huffman, William H Macy, John Hamm, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Jon Cryer, Monique
Coleman, Scott Foley and Anna Kournikova, dpa
