Belarusian President and EU High Representative touched upon a range of issues of co-operation

A telephone conversation of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko with EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy has been made on the initiative of Javier Solana, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Head of State.

The conversation touched upon a range of issues concerning the political situation in Belarus and a whole range of issues pertaining to Belarus-EU co-operation. During the conversation, the significance of the opening of a new page in Belarus-EU relations was underscored.

Alexander Lukashenko and Javier Solana agreed to continue their dialogue after the EU High Representative returned from New York where he was participating in the session of the UN General Assembly.
