Ukraine, Kiev, 3 October /corr. Trend Z.Novosvitskiy/ Tu-154, an airliner which was to carry the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushenko to Lvov on 2 October, was trig, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine said

The Minister of Transport assistant Alexander Davydov made this statement at the briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers on 3 October, UNIAN reported.

"The commission is still working, but the technical condition that the crew claimed at, is not confirmed. The commission launched its check ups in the units the crew complained, as soon as the airplane was brought to the hangar. All the units were trig," Davydov said.

He also asserts that the plane Il-62 which has been prepared for the flight of the Ukrainian Prime-Minister Yuliya Timoshenko to Moscow could not be a reserve airplane for any other flights. He urged that absence of a reserve airliner was the gross violation of the flight procedure of governmental delegation.

"There was not a reserve airliner for the governmental flight. It is a gross violation of all the major requirements and the rules on a warrant flight execution. The current airplane could not be a reserve one for the President, and it was not a reserve airliner at all.

He said that other airliners, particularly An-74 and Yak-40 which later carried the people accompanying the prime minister to Moscow, were to be in reserve.
