St. Vincent's prime minister says he is advising friends and relatives in the United States to vote for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, the Associated Press reported.
Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves said late Tuesday in the capital, Kingstown, that an Obama victory would help the U.S. boost it's reputation in the eyes of the world.
Gonsalves has governed the string of Caribbean islands, home to some 120,000 people, since 2001.
