The next four years should become the period of dynamic breakthrough allowing Belarus to become one of the most developed countries of the world, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at the final joint session of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the third convocation on October 23, reported Belta.

According to the Head of State, "to reach these ambitious goals we need to draft the laws of new generation which are theoretically substantiated and well-considered as to the impact they will have. We also need to ensure effective control over their observance." The President emphasized that the law-making process should be more disciplined and rational at all stages - from planning to prompt adoption.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed the confidence that the potential accumulated by the outgoing parliament will be further developed by newly-elected deputies and senators.
