Belarus-Vietnam cooperation reaches strategic partnership, deputy foreign minister says

The cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam has reached the level of strategic partnership, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Viktor Gaisenok said at a solemn meeting on the occasion of expiry of the diplomat's term in office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Belarus Vu Xuan Ninh on November 12, reproted Belta.

Viktor Gaisenok said that Belarus-Vietnam cooperation was greatly boosted by the agreements reached after the visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Vietnam this year.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus lauded the diplomat's considerable contribution to strengthening the bilateral dialogue in political, economic, educational and cultural areas. The relations between the two sides have been greatly evolved during his diplomat's term in office. "The main thing is that there is a mutual interest to promote all-round Belarus-Vietnam dialogue," Viktor Gaisenok said.

According to the Vietnamese Ambassador, there has been laid a solid foundation for the further cooperation over the last three years of his diplomatic activity in Belarus. The diplomat praised the development of the trade and economic links between the two countries.
