Lashkar-e-Taiba members in Germany, interior minister says
Members of the Pakistan militant group blamed for the terrorist attacks in Mumbai are residing in Germany, German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said Friday.
Schaeuble, who is on a visit to New Delhi, said the group, Lashkar-e-Taiba, had no organizational infrastructure in Germany, but individual members were living there, reported dpa.
The minister said there was no evidence to show the group was plotting attacks in Germany.
He said there were "obvious links" to the Islamic Jihad Union, an Uzbek group which has been accused of planning terrorist attacks in Germany.
