Roadside bomb kills 5 Iraqi policemen
A roadside bomb has claimed the lives of five Iraqi policemen in the town of Tarmiyah north of Baghdad, local police chief says.
"The bomb targeted the convoy of Faisal Ismail, the police chief in the nearby town of Mashaada," Janabi told AFP.
Iraqis continue to be killed or injured on a daily basis in fighting and bomb attacks.
Tarmiyah is located 30 miles (50 km) north of the war-torn country's capital Baghdad.
