Eight people were killed and 32 wounded Saturday in two separate explosions in Baghdad and Babil province, dpa reported.
In a northern Baghdad market, five were killed and 22 wounded when a magnetic explosive charge detonated inside a civilian vehicle, a security source told the Voices of Iraq (VOI) news agency.
The explosion took place in a used-clothes market in Baghdad's northern area of al-Kadhemiya.
Meanwhile, VOI reported that an Iraqi army major and two Awakening Councils members were killed, and 10 others, including five soldiers, were wounded while they were trying to defuse a roadside bomb in al-Bahbahani, 60 km northwest of Hilla city, the capital of Babil province.
