At least 13 people were killed when the cargo truck they were riding in went out of control in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, dpa reported referring to a news report.
Police told the IANS news agency that four others were injured in the accident in the Bareilly town, 250 kilometres south of state capital Lucknow, and treated at a district hospital.
"The truck in which the people were travelling was laden with iron rods. Most of the people killed have deep injury marks caused by the iron rods," police officer Piyush Mordiya said.
