Yushchenko sends his special plane to Kenya

A Ukrainian delegation including representatives of the Presidential Secretariat and the Foreign Intelligence Service has left for Mombassa, according to the President`s press-office, referring to President's Press Secretary Iryna Vannikova, UNIAN reported.

According to her, Faina MV is nearing Kenyan territorial waters, where it will be met by a ship of the Kenyan Naval Forces, which is due to reinforce the American escort and to convey Faina to the port.

Representatives of the ship owner and Ukrainian firms - special exporters have already left for Mombassa on February 10. They are preparing to replacing the crew, which will take place before the ship will be unloaded in the port.

The Ukrainian side, together with its Kenyan partners, have completed all preparations to organizing the arrival of the sailors.

According to the President's Press Secretary, a special Presidential plane with a Ukrainian delegation onboard took off from Boryspil airport at 11.00 a.m. on February 11. The Ukrainian delegation is headed by deputy President's Chief of Staff Andriy Honcharuk and head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Mykola Malomuzh.
