At least six people were killed in firing by unknown assailants in the provincial capital of Pakistan.
The incident occurred on Saryab Road where unknown armed men shot at least six people dead and injured two others.
Paramedical teams and heavy contingent of police and other law enforcement agencies` personnel rushed the crime scene soon after the incident and cordoned off the area, PakTribune reports.
The corpses and the injured were brought to Civil Hospital Quetta where emergency has been declared.
The condition of both the injured was said to be critical, reported the channel.
The deceased and the injured were said to belong Hazara tribe.
Hundreds of protesters came to streets in various city`s areas when the news of the incident went public. Protesters also hurled stones on the vehicles and set tyres on blaze.
