Middlesbrough belied their league problems with a 2-0 win over West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday, dpa reported.
The Teesside club, in the bottom three in the Premier League, earned a quarter-final clash against Everton thanks to goals from Stewart Downing and Tuncay Sanli.
Downing's goal - only his second of the season - came from a superbly-struck free-kick that found the very top corner after just five minutes.
Turkey international Tuncay then volleyed home the second on 20 minutes and West Ham could not get themselves back into the game.
