India Friday successfully test fired a ballistic missile shield in the eastern state of Orissa, said defense sources, reported Xinhua.
The intercepter missile was fired from the Wheeler Island in Orissa and destroyed the enemy missile, said the sources.
This is the second time for India to conduct missile tests within days, after the country test fired a Brahmos supersonic missile in the western Rajasthan desert Wednesday.
