The Egyptian police arrested bombers that carried out the terrorist blast on Feb. 22 at Al-Hussein Mosque in Cairo, in which one French female was killed, Nile TV reported on Monday, quoting Minister of State for Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils Mufid Shehab.
The arrestees include Egyptian citizens and other members from foreign countries. Shehab said with out elaborating, Xinhua reported.
On Feb. 22, one French female tourist, who was in a school trip with her classmates in Cairo, was killed and 24 others injured in the deadly explosion on a small square between the al-Hussein mosque and the Khan al-Khalili bazaar.
The injured include 17 French tourists, one German, three Saudis and three Egyptians. Up to now, no group or person has claimed responsibility for the first fatal attack on tourists in Cairo since an explosion in the same area killed two tourists and wounded 18 others in 2005.
