An explosion took place in eastern Pakistan's Lahore city on Wednesday and 15 to 20 people were injured, private DAWN NEWS TV channel reported.
The explosion occurred near Civil Lines Office on Mall Road in Lahore, capital city of Punjab province, said the report.
The DAWN NEWS quoted sources as saying that 15 to 20 people were injured in the blast. It was a high-intensity blast, the nature of which is yet to be ascertained, Xinhua reported.
Several buildings and vehicles in the area were damaged and the rescue team is engaged in relief operation.
Firing has started in the area. TV footage showed that a person carrying gun appeared in one of the nearby buildings.
