The Pakistani security forces have arrested 12 militants including a suicide bomber in the on- going search and cordon operation in the country's northwest, according to a military press release Sunday, Xinhua reported.
In the search operation in Swat and Malakand of the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), the security forces arrested Habib Ullahat at Kalakot near Fatehpur, who confessed to be a suicide bomber.
In other places, they also demolished 4 militants' houses, defused four improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and recovered some arms and ammunition.
On relief work, the military said, 247,500 cash cards have so far been distributed amongst the internally displaced persons ( IDPs) of Malakand.
Pakistani security forces launched the military operation against Taliban militants late April after militants early that month entered the Buner district from the neighboring Swat district and refused to vacate the area despite their pledge to do so.
