A five-member team of cyclists from Afghanistan would attend the international race held in Iran in October, a local newspaper reported Saturday.

A five-member team of cyclists from Afghanistan would attend the international race held in Iran in October, a local newspaper reported Saturday, Xinhua reported.
  
The team, according to the daily Rah-e-Nejat has already begun daily exercising and paddle 150 km in north of capital city Kabul.
  
In the international race, held in Mazindaran of Iran, cyclists from 24 Asian and European countries would paddle 800 km.
  
Afghan players in the post-Taliban country have tremendously achieved as they brought a first ever bronze medal from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and have already qualified for 2010 Cricket World Cup besides winning medals from regional competitions.
