Bulgaria's controversial candidate for the post of European Commissioner, Rumiana Jeleva, dropped her bid on Tuesday, officials in the European Parliament said, DPA reported.
Members of the parliament had accused Jeleva of lying on her declaration of interests. The parliament carries out confirmation on all commission candidates.
