At least two policemen were injured Saturday in a suicide blast at a town in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP), said police sources, Xinhua reported.
According to police sources, the blast occurred at the main gate of Thana City in Mansehra, about 100 km north of the capital Islamabad.
Police said a suicide bomber tried to enter a police station, but on being intercepted by personnel on duty there, he blew him up on the spot injuring the police personnel.
The sounds of gunshots were heard from the area, locals said.
Police put security cordon around the City Police station situated near district courts.
