Three dead in Berlin murder-suicide
Three people have been found dead in a Berlin apartment in what police described Monday as two murders and a suicide.
Investigators said autopsies suggested that a 25-year-old man strangled his 22-year-old, live-in Latvian girlfriend, suffocated her 2-year-old daughter and then killed himself. Police did not say how he had committed suicide, dpa reported.
The three had been dead for several days when relatives opened the apartment late Sunday after getting no response to phone calls.
The woman's body was found inside a chest freezer. Police said it had not been dismembered. Draft e-mails on the man's computer indicated he had planned the killings.
