Pope Benedict XVI arrived Friday evening back in Rome after his four-day trip to Portugal highlighted by his visit to the Fatima pilgrimage shrine, DPA reported.
Benedict had ended his first visit to Portugal as pope by holding mass in the northern city of Porto, delivering a sermon of hope and peace and stressing that the church was "willing to maintain a dialogue with different cultures and religions."
The Portuguese trip was Benedict's second foreign visit so far this year and the 15th since he became pope in 2005
