A powerful blast has rocked Afghanistan's eastern city of Jalalabad a few hours after a roadside explosion in the southern areas of the country had killed three people.
According to a Press TV correspondent, gunfire was also heard in the capital city of Nangarhar province - Jalalabad - on Sunday.
No detail about the parties involved in the incident or the casualties has so far been released by Afghan officials.
Meanwhile earlier in the day, in a separate incident on a road between Panjwayi district and the city of Kandahar, a bomb blast killed three people and wounded 11 others.
Two civilians, including a woman and one policeman were killed. Official reports said more than half of those injured were children.
