Naked body in boot of crashed car thought to be policeman's wife
A naked body found in the boot of a car after a fatal accident in Germany was probably the wife of the policeman driving the car, investigators said on Monday.
An autopsy will be carried out to confirm if the body is that of the 55-year-old wife of the police officer, who died in a collision after swerving into oncoming traffic, DPA reported.
A 27-year-old woman driving the second vehicle was also killed in the head-on crash, at 5 am (0300 GMT) on a straight stretch of road.
The police think the woman in the boot of the car had died before the crash, as the naked corpse bore signs of injury. The autopsy is due to establish when and how she died.
Investigators did not say whether they had any clues after searching the apartment of the 59-year-old policeman and his wife, near the eastern town of Magdeburg where the officer worked.
