A 7.6-magnitude earthquake rocked the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu on Tuesday but there was no tsunami warning for neighbouring countries, dpa reported.
The undersea quake struck at a depth of 60 kilometres, 40 kilometres from the main island of Efate, which includes the capital Port Vila, Geoscience Australia said.
A 23-centimetre tsunami hit Port Vila after the earthquake, seismologists said, and may be followed by bigger waves. dpa sa cd Author: Sid Astbury
