Egypt's President Hosny Mubarak and Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Monday held talks with Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul focusing on efforts towards peace and reconstruction in Afghanistan, DPA reported.
Addressing a joint press conference in Cairo, Rassoul said: "I spoke with President Mubarak about the situation in Afghanistan, the efforts towards peace, regional cooperation against terrorism, and our relations with neighbouring countries."
The trio also discussed increasing political and economic cooperation.
