The U.S. most advanced stealth fighter F-22 will not participate in the final day's air show in India, local media reported on Saturday.
F-22 will not come to India for Aero India 2011 that began in Bangalore on Wednesday and will end on Sunday, India's zeenews website quoted a member of the U.S. F-22 maker Lockheed Martin's communication team as saying, Xinhua reported.
The communication member said the F-22 will not be showcased as a flying or static display in the final day in Aero India 2011.
A U.S. aeronautical official attending the air show told Xinhua previously the U.S. would dispatch one F-22 to join final day's air show.
F-22 only joined three international air shows since it was inducted in the U.S. Air Force service in December 2005.
Nearly all advanced combat aircraft in the U.S. Armed Forces are being shown in Aero India 2011, including a F-18E/F, which is the most advanced fighter in the U.S. Navy, and the models of the most advanced stealth bomber B-2, F-22 and newly-developed general- purpose stealth fighter F-35 for three services .
Aero India 2011 is India's biggest air show, which started here in 1996, and over 100 civilian and military planes are on static show or flying display.
