At least two dozen primary school children died and officials feared several more bodies would be found after a truck left the highway and dropped into a ravine in Bangladesh Monday, DPA reported.
The online BDNews said 26 bodies had been retrieved by Monday afternoon, but there were unconfirmed reports of dozens more dead.
Mirsarai district administrator Fayz Ahmed said about 50 students were riding in the vehicle on their way home from watching a football tournament when the accident occurred at 1:45 pm (0745 GMT).
Officials said several more bodies could be trapped under the sunken vehicle.
