Three soldiers of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force have been killed in separate roadside bomb explosions in southern Afghanistan, the military alliance said Thursday.

NATO did not disclose the nationalities of the deceased, nor the exact location of the attacks, DPA reported.

Taliban militants rely heavily on roadside bombs as part of their decade-long insurgency.

More than 400 international soldiers have been killed so far this year in the war-torn country, according to ICausalities.org, an independent website that track military fatalities in Afghanistan.
