A Swiss official rejected proposals by the UK and France to impose more sanctions against Iran and said negotiation was the only solution to the Iranian nuclear issue, IRNA reported.
Ivan Shawvaker who is a spokesperson for the Green Party of Switzerland said in an exclusive interview with IRNA here on Friday that the new sanctions imposed on Iran by certain western countries will just make the situation more convulsive, having no other effect.
He termed as 'wrong' any decision to issue more anti-Iran sanctions.
He stressed that contrary to the US, which has waged numerous wars across the world, Iran is a peaceful country being engaged in no war with any other country.
