Afghan forces killed two Pakistani nationals after they were taken away from the Pakistani border area in southwestern Balochistan province, local media reported Saturday.
Relatives of the slain men claimed that Afghan soldiers intruded two kilometers across the border into Pakistan's Zhob district in two vehicles on Friday, seized two locals and killed them later, Xinhua reported.
Afghan officials said however that the two Pakistanis were killed after they entered Afghan territory to plant landmine.
Afghan media quoted officials as saying that two Pakistanis tried to lay landmine in Maroof district in Kandahar province on Friday night before being shot dead by the Afghan forces.
Locals said that the Afghan border troops raided the house of tribal elder Saadullah Kakar and took away two people on suspicion of link with Taliban.
Officials in Zhob district said that they had contacted the Afghan side to repatriate the bodies.
