Russian сonsul in Niigata dies in accident

Russian сonsul in Niigata, Japan, Vladimir Pushkov has died after falling down a steep mountainside during a park volleyball match. Pushkov was 55. He was a career diplomat with a long record of postings in Japan and Singapore, The Voice of Russia reported.

His Vice Consul Roman Kolesnikov, who tried to assist Mr Pushkov, is in hospital with serious injuries.
