The UN General Assembly looks set to vote on a draft resolution to condemn the violence in Syria on Friday, DPA reported.
The assembly had earlier planned the vote to take place Thursday, but postponed it by one day after more discussion on the draft with various regional groups at UN headquarters in New York.
The draft, backed by Arab countries, would call on Syria to end the conflict and not use or transfer chemical and biological weapons as well as to embark on talks leading to a political transition to a democratic system of government.
