Russian embassy in Damascus comes under mortar fire

The Russian embassy in Damascus has come under mortar fire, a representative of the diplomatic mission told RIA Novosti Oct. 13.
"No one was injured," the statement said.
"Two mines fell on the territory of the Russian embassy in Damascus," the representative said. No one was injured but the property was damaged."
Moreover, a few mines exploded near the venue of a rally in support of Russia's actions in Syria, an eyewitness said.
"Mines fell on the ground," an eyewitness said. "A peaceful rally was held in support of Russia's actions in Syria at that moment. Some people were injured. The territory was blocked."
