The operation is being held in the suburbs of Paris - Saint-Denis to detain the individuals suspected of terrorism, Reuters reported citing a source involved in the investigation, RIA Novosti reported Nov. 18.
These individuals were planning a terrorist attack in the business district of La Defense, the northwest of Paris.
The police launched the operation in St-Denis, a town just north of Paris, at about 4.30am. A group of the alleged terrorists hid in the apartment building.
According to the media, Abdel-Hamid Abu Oud, suspected of organizing these attacks, is one of the goals of this operation.
