It is necessary to strengthen the security measures in the Russian diplomatic mission in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during the talks with Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem, RIA Novosti reported.
He said that the Russian embassy in Damascus was fired again on November 23 and a mortar shell fell into the territory.
In this regard, Lavrov stressed the need to ensure the safety of our diplomatic mission and our citizens in Damascus.
