A magnitude 6.9 earthquake has struck off the coast of Kirakira, Solomon Islands, Sputnik reported.
The quake's epicenter is 88 kilometers from the city.
This is the latest in a series of earthquakes that have occured in the region over the last few days. Thursday morning, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit about 43 miles southwest of Kirakira.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has not issues a tsunami warning for the latest quake. At this time there are no reports of casualties or damage.
