(ForUm) - The ex-president of Georgia Eduard Shevarnadze considers Georgia will not join NATO before Ukraine. He told Zerkalo nedeli in an interview.

According to the ex-president of Georgia, he repeatedly happened to be in headquarters of NATO, and there it was promised that Georgia would join the Alliance by all means, but it is a matter of time. It was also told that the next member of the Alliance would be Ukraine, and then Georgia, Shevarnadze noted.

However, as Shevarnadze said, Ukraine has different opinion on this issue. The Georgia's population is only positive to NATO. But before Ukraine, Georgia can't join NATO. Thus Saakashvili will face many problems, the ex-president of Georgia forecasts, reports Trend.
