European commission is assured that situation in Lviv region is under control

( ForUm ) - The European Commission received from Ukraine an assurance that the situation in Lviv region, where on July 16 the anthropogenic accident occurred, is under control. Representative of the European Commission Barbara Helfferich informed.

"We received such answer for the last 24 hours. There was no request (for help - ed.)," she said, "UNIAN" reports.

On July 18 the European Commission offered to help Ukraine, to make an examination of medium-term and long-term consequences for environment after phosphorus leakage. Beside, the European Commission claimed readiness to help Ukraine in liquidation of the anthropogenic accident consequences.

For today 164 people, suffered from train accident near Lviv, are hospitalized. Earlier Ukrainian doctors stated that they hadn't enough experience to treat such lesions.
