Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the preparations for the fifth Caspian summit with his Kazakh counterpart Kairat Abdurakhmanov, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a message, RIA Novosti reported.
“Based on decisions of the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Caspian littoral states (Moscow, December 4-5, 2017), the foreign ministers discussed the modalities of preparations for the 5th Caspian Summit in Kazakhstan,” said the report.
Earlier, special representative of the Russian president for cooperation with Caspian states Ramazan Abdulatipov told RIA Novosti that the meeting of heads of the Caspian countries may be held in Astana in late March.
