( Todayszaman ) President Abdullah Gul returned the Chief of Staff Gen. Yasar Buyukan?t's visit by meeting him yesterday morning at his post.
Gen. Buyukan?t and Deputy Chief of Staff Gen. Ergun Saygun met the president with a military ceremony. In response, the president greeted the ceremonial brigade and together with Gen. Buyukan?t entered the building, where he signed the visitor's book. Later in the day, the president accepted Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at Cankaya , the presidential palace. The regular meeting, closed to the press, was set before Erdogan's travel to the United States and lasted one hour and 15 minutes.
